Steve is on the verge of finishing his second mind-tickling children’s book, Blaire Sees Bears. He is looking for a Newberg girl for the face of Blaire and a boy to be her brother Grimm. He is seeking a child age 3-9 years old to be in a nationally released children’s book which will likely be in stores late 2011.
Steve uses photomontage for his illustrations. He takes pictures of stuff and puts them into photo collages. Blaire and Grimm will be collaged into the book in a similar style to SteamPotVille.
“This should be a fun event. We’ll have cider, hot chocolate and cookies, plus a classic kids movie playing for those who are waiting. I’m excited to give a few kids the dream of being in a timeless book,” Steve said.
Blaire Sees Bears is a story about a mother and a daughter who learn they are connected forever by love and the imagination through dreamy bears. Searching for the hidden bears throughout the book is another wonderful stretch of the imagination.
Steve wants everyone to know that he has a unique vision for the book and his choices will not be based on beauty, but expressions. “I am looking for the right kids. I won’t know until I meet them.” Parents are requested to practice a few expressions with their children before attending the casting call: Happy, super happy, sad, crazy face, confused, and surprised.
Steve will set up a photo studio at Art Elements and will be photographing each child. Parents will have the option of keeping one picture. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
